Sculpting is my passion.  My desire comes from myself after a major change in my
life when I was hit in the head by an airplane propeller.  My inspiration comes from
all the people that have helped me get to where I am today.  I spent about 17 years
learning and understanding with my mentor and friend Fritz White.   Fritz taught me
the importance of the human body, and how it is the foundation of the sculpture.  It
always amazes me to see how the human body can be transformed in so many
different ways.   I continue to practice everything he taught me and strive to learn
more with everything I do.

My subject matter is wide but I do enjoy the American West theme.  I do have a
reputation for the authentic depiction of the American West.   I use sculpture as a
means to document the world around me past and present.  I create my sculptures
to call attention to things that other people overlook.  This exploration of the
overlooked, helps me engage more deeply with where I am in space and time.  I
explore thru reading, visual identification and my favorite is to be on a special
location. My choice of subject comes from my interest, emotional connections and
personal knowledge. My goal is to make my sculptures draw viewers into a special
time or place.

When I am in my studio I often loose tract of time.  I get lost into the subject or just
myself working to make the piece better.  As Fritz would have said “Rhythm”.
Rhythm is what gives life to the piece, I strive for this in every piece.
My work has won many awards and been purchased to be included in permeant
collections.    This would include the City of Loveland Colorado.  I have sold piece
to Canada and most European countries.

I truly love what I do for a living and hope others can see that through the work I
have done. I believe that it is very important for artist to give back to the
community.  I am always donating my work, either for an organization, charity or
just a good cause.
